Homoeopathic remedies work energetically to stimulate the body’s innate ability to heal. It works according to the principle of ‘like cures like’ such that a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person, can be used to treat similar symptoms in a sick person. Over the last 200 years, observations, experiments, homoeopathic provings and clinical experience have resulted in the collection of symptoms associated with particular remedies which are recorded in traditional homoeopathic Materia Medica.

This product has been compiled based on an in-depth knowledge of the tradition and application of homoeopathy. The relevant symptoms from the ingredient remedy pictures are as follows:

Antimonium crudum helps relieve gastric and intestinal complaints accompanied by cramps, cutting pains, nausea, abdominal distension and excessive irritability and fretfulness.

Argentum nitricum helps relieve colic with much flatulence, distention in the abdomen, inability to pass wind and anxiety.

Carbo vegetabilis helps relieve colic with excessive flatulence and a greatly distended abdomen which is relieved by passing wind.

Citrullis colocynthis is a homoeopathic remedy characterised by abdominal cramps and cutting, pinching, gnawing or boring pains so severe the force the person to bend double.

Spasms of graspoing, clutching or radiating colic occur at short intervals causing great restlessness and loud screams. Pains are typically relieved by applying pressure to the abdomen or by passing wind or stools.

Lycopodium clavatum helps to relieve colic with sore, bruised, pressurized feeling in the abdomen with much gurgling and rumbing noises in the gut. The condition seems worse for touch and worse in the evening.

Magnesium phosphoricum helps to relieve remittent colic with cramps, pain, acidity and wind which may be accompanied by loose, watery stools. Matricaria recutita is particularly beneficial for spasmodic colic in sensitive, irritable, thirsty, hot infants. They tend to develop intestinal complaints after fits of anger and typically develop redness of one cheek.

Mercurius solubilis helps to relieve colic with flatulent, distension and cutting or burning pain in the abdomen.

Natrium tetraboracicum helps for colic and gastrointestinal irritation with salivation, nausea and vomiting. It is especially beneficial in infants that are nervous, anxious, fidgety and are sensitive to sudden noises or startle easily.

Strychnos nux-vomica helps for colic with sore, bruised feeling in the gut worse for coughing or exposure to cold or when the hands and feet feel cold. It is particularly helpful in infants that are weak, very irritable, easily angered and oversensitive to stimulation to any of their senses.
