As absorption of homoeopathic medicines occurs mainly through the mucous membrane of the mouth, it is desirable to hold the medicine in the mouth for a short period and for the mouth to be free of any other tastes (toothpaste, peppermint, etc.) when taking the medicine.
The melts should be dissolved in the mouth, ideally under the tongue.
For babies, the melts should be dissolved in a little water or milk (one teaspoon) and given as a liquid to avoid any risk of the baby choking.
The tablets should be sucked or dissolved in the mouth.

Chamaelirium luteum (Helonias) helps relieve swollen, tender and sore breasts especially in women prone to feeling unduly exhausted. Ferrum phosphoricum helps relieve inflammation, localized pain and weakness in the body.
Graphites helps relieve hard, swollen breasts with sore, cracked, blistered nipples.
Pulsatilla pratensis helps relieve sore, aching breasts with pain in the back and milk production that is supressed or very scanty. Ricinus communis helps soothe swollen, throbbing painful breasts often accompanied by pain in the back or pain down the arm.
Silicea helps relieve hard, painful, swollen breasts, abscesses in the breasts, sore nipples prone to ulceration and suppressed milk production.
