Homoeopathic remedies work energetically to stimulate the body’s innate ability to heal. Ammonium carbonicum relieves tearing pain in joints especially in stout people who are sedentary, experience cramps in the soles and calves and whose symptoms are worse in the evenings and in cold wet weather. Arthritis urtica forte is specifically indicated for treatment of arthritis. Bryonia alba acts on all serous membranes to relieve inflamed, swollen joints that are worse for warmth and motion and improved by rest, pressure and cold applications.

Cimicifuga racemosa acts on the cerebrospinal and muscular systems to relieve jerking of limbs, contracting pains and muscular aches. The chief action of Guaiacum officinale is on fibrous tissue to treat growing pains, acute rheumatism, sciatica and lumbago. Radium bromatum treats late-onset arthritic pain of a chronic nature in both upper and lower limbs.

Rhus toxicodendron acts on fibrous tissue to relieve tearing pains, loss of power in forearm, painful swelling of joints and fingers and tingling in feet and fingertips. It is especially indicated for muscular-skeletal conditions which are improved by movement. Ruta graveolens acts on the periosteum and cartilage to treat contraction of finger joints, stiff wrists and hands, Achilles tendon pain and discomfort from mineral deposits in joints. Solanum dulcamara relieves neck and shoulder stiffness, pain in the shinbones and poor circulation to the feet.
